Rubber Expansion Joint
MEGAFLEXON Rubber expansion joints have been specified and used for many years by consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, pressure vessel designers, plant engineers, and turn-key construction firms. They are installed to accommodate movement in piping runs, protect piping from expansion and contraction, and ensure efficient and economical on-stream operations. Rubber expansion joints are a specifically engineered and designed section of pipe that is flanged and is able to be inserted within a rigid piping system with the goal to be the achievement of one or more of the following.
Rubber expansion joints, designed by engineers and fabricated by skilled craftsmen, are used in all systems conveying fluids under pressure and/or vacuum at various temperatures:
Features
● Hand-built construction
● Single to multiple arches as required
● Retaining split rings material / Galvanized split metal retaining ring
● Carbon steel or stainless steel
● Internal sleeve or protective covers available
● Pressures, vacuum ratings and temperature tolerance as detailed inside
● ASME, DIN, KS, JIS and BS flange drilling code available
● Reinforcement / Spiral steel wire or steel bar
● Pipe diameter size 2 inch to 176 inch
※ For other sizes, consult with Megaflexon.
Integral Backing Ring Type
Rubber Expansion Joint
Megaflexon has specially designed the Integral steel flange type rubber expansion joints, not to transmit thrust force loads to counter flange at all.
The integral steel flange type rubber expansion joint completely absorbs thrust force to be occurred from expansion joints during operation, so no thrust force is transmitted to counter flange.
By using the integral steel flange type design, the counter flange is completely protected from such thrust force, and it absolutely guarantees safety, reliability, and long lifecycle.
